We had a lovely stay at a hotel by the seafront, right next to a tram stop. The room was a bit small with limited storage, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a good shower. We appreciated the provided iron and ironing board. The breakfasts were excellent, with both continental and cooked options available. The dining room had a great view of the seafront.
Nothing to dislike 👍

Large modern hotel, very comfortable with good facilities. Very good location on sea front. Trams go past the door so easy access into Central Melbourne. Bars & restaurants in easy walking distance.
Pool was outdoor and a bit small. A bit expensive but then you get what you pay for.

The Novotel is in the groovy vibrant seaside suburb of St Kilda. There are nice views.
At this price point, especially in an older hotel with smaller rooms, you'd expect free wi-fi. It's a relatively cheap freebie that can make up for the fact that this is a soul-less relic of late 70's architecture. But no! Because of St Kilda's desirability as a destination for overseas tourists, you'd expect the bar would offer a taste of good Aussie beer. Since the cheapest room is $170 a night, they are not catering to the backpacking crowd. So why not Holgate or Little Creatures? But no. Instead guests can choose from foreign swill (Heinekin) or domestic swill (Boag's Draft). Management are clearly imbeciles unable to capitalize on the assets they have.

Good hotel we enjoyed our time there and staff were polite, professional and helpful. They certinally represented your hotel in a positive light.
There was only one problem, we were on the fifth floor, and I suspect it was the water pipes that kept making a noise throughout the night. I am a light sleeper, and after going to bed at 1:00AM, could only sleep a couple of hours, then the noise woke me, and i simply could not get back to sleep. It spoiled what was a really good experience, and was the only negative thing about the whole stay. Not sure what the problem is, but you seriously need to fix it!!

This hotel is situated in a bustling area, with easy access to the famous pier and theme park, as well as a vast array of dining options. The rooms are spacious and the staff is helpful in arranging alternative accommodations. The pool is a nice touch for a quick dip.
The hotel could benefit from some updating in the bathroom area.

I ejnoyed the view from my room to the sea. Best feature of the hotel.
My first contact with counter staff member saw them search for my online booking while I waited and I was treated with disdain. Too many staff displayed poor customer focus for the duration of our stay and were rarely interested in engaging with guests. They put an authority on my credit card greater than the price quoted online because of potential incidentals that were not explained on arrival. Final price debited on last day was correct.

Was a perfect location, stroll to Acland Street dining and shopping. Beach was amazing, and the view was flawless. The staff were very helpful and the check in/check out process was 5 minutes flat. Paul(manager) was absolutely lovely, and very helpful. Beds are super amazingly comfortable. I want one for home now!
Room was clean, although thought we had booked a spa room, but didnt have one. The skirting boards had scuffing and dirty marks, although this didnt take away from the beautiful room.

I loved the relaxed attiude of the staff and the warm feeling of the room. The veiw was fantastic and room service was quick and friendly. I booked the room for myself and my partner and it was his first holiday in 6yrs and he loved it. The spa was very relaxing and the large bed made for a very beautiful relaxing mini holiday. I definately recommend for anyone who live in Melbourne and dont have time to tavel insterstate let alone overseas- this beautiful hotel makes you feel like you're in another country.

We loved the location of the hotel, right beside a tram stop and the seafront. It was so easy to get around the city from here and we didn't need a car. The hotel was also clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed breakfast and the nearby Ackland Street.
None.

Room was spacious, clean and quiet. The pool and sun area was a plus as it was sheltered from the high winds along St Kilda beach.
We had selected the Booked.net option of a sea view room. However, our room had a side on view and the reception staff were resistant to a change stating that all rooms were categorised as "bay view". When we made the point that it was up to Accor to ensure their rooms were properly categorised on the booking websites, they just blanked us. Not a great response when paying such a high price!
